My mother in law swears by the cleaning properties of Baking Soda! So I started looking into baking soda and found ways to use Baking Soda In The Kitchen.

We have all heard that baking soda can remove terrible smells. A box or small bowl of baking soda in the refrigerator, freezer, or any cupboard will keep away unpleasant odours.

Putting a new garbage bag in your garbage bin? Sprinkle a some baking soda on the bottom of the garbage bin and some more in the bottom of your new garbage bag. The baking soda will soak up many of those garbage odours.

Cooking with grease? Sometime grease fires happen. Placing water a grease fire is a terrible idea. The water will only agitate and spread the fire. Pouring baking soda onto a grease fire will snuff the flames!

Cleaning dirty surfaces can be made easy with baking soda. Grab a damp cloth and pour some baking soda on it. The gritty baking soda will scrub off all kinds of dirt.

Have some old Tupperware that just stinks? Why not fill the Tupperware with hot water, sprinkle in some baking soda, put the lid on and shake it up. Let the mixture sit overnight. By morning your Tupperware should smell like new.

Three parts baking soda and one part water will make a nice paste. Rub this paste onto dirty silverware, rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth. Your silverware will shine!

Spilt grease on your floor? Sprinkle some baking soda on it, wipe it up with a damp warm cloth. That grease will be gone!

Forget that roast in the oven? Remove that burnt on food by sprinkling some baking soda on it. Add in some hot water and let it soak overnight. The burnt on food will loosen overnight and become easy to clean!
